The Old and The New...

...joining forces.

First, lets start with some old...
Same old raw pasta, same old squash fries, same old brussel sprouts, same old salad but with a new ingredient...
I have had sprouts before but never these. Love the crunch and the stats...
I also bought the same old mango...
but in a new ridiculously huge size...
This sucker weights about 3lbs!!

This weekend I had the privilege of attending a new Southern Woman's Party, where I got to hang with new friends...
and old...
LITERALLY!!! hahaha!! Yes, that's my crazy mother in law :).

Another new for me was these yummy Muscadine Grapes...
They have seeds but I am loving these babies!! They taste like a sweet wine. Apparently they do make Muscadine wine also and Muscadine flavored vodka. I am now on a mission to find this stuff locally :).

My final new that I have been using for a few weeks now is this yummy new milk...
The price is steep but it was a good change from my good old almond milk. Stats...

I hope all you beautiful ladies had a great weekend!! Any good weekend stories??? I'd love to hear them!

CONFESSION OF THE DAY: I never wore my seat belt until I meet my husband (the seat belt Nazi). I have worn it religiously ever since except for recently. I don't know what my deal is but lately I have been forgetting and then just not buckling it when I realize. Especially on short commutes. I had to call myself out so I will buckle the damn thing!!! BAD ME!!!

  3. Your food pics look beautiful! I have never had muscadine grapes but they sound awesome. I know that So Delicious is like the cadillac of coconut milk but TJ's sells cans of either organic regular or organic light coconut milk for 99 cents. Sometimes I find that a whole half gallon goes to waste and the smaller cans are nice. But yeah, So Delicious brand is the bomb. Weekend stories? The good: got a rockin back and foot massage from my man and the bad: little one threw a ginormous tantrum when we left the beach Sunday. The kind where entire parking lots of people just stare at you. Fun times :)

  4. I'm so glad you posted the stats on the coconut milk because my first question was about the calories. Not too shabby! Gonna keep an eye out for it.

And YES girlfriend buckle up! Good for you for calling yourself out to help you remember. Your girly needs you be around for her!

  5. I have never heard of those grapes, but they look so interesting.

I am loving that unsweetened coconut milk right now; it works great in recipes. I saw it on sale at my local natural food store for $2.50 a carton and am kicking myself for not stocking up!

  12. Looks like a fun weekend! Holy Hugh Jass mango! Haha...love it. No matter quite how big a piece of fruit is, I manage to finish it in a crazy short amount of time...and I'm talking stuff like melons here, not plums :P

Wear your seatbelt!!!!! My parents are seat-belt nazis too and have passed it on to me...helped along by the commercials shown here of car crashes and people flying through the windshiled. Yikes. (Though buses don't have seatbelts? And bus drivers are crazy so what is that about?!)

  14. I am bad about the seatbelt too...which is ironic because I make a point to take care of my body in so many ways...
