Awesome Holiday Weekend And Beanut Butter

(No that's not a typo it does say Beanut Butter)

Hey guys!! I had a much needed break from the computer this weekend. Yesterday was my first day on since Thursday (when my wonderful cousins got in town). I had a crazy busy holiday weekend but it was tons of fun. I will try and recap the best I can but to be honest its all kind of a blur. Tee hee!!

I started Thursday off just like any other day, at the gym. After returning home I cleaned up for our company and in between had some yummy eats...

Oatgurt and almond butter...
A new find, goats milk yogurt....
I give it 2 thumbs up for taste.

When my cousins arrived we hit up the store for some weekend snacks. We had to sample the 3 kinds of hummus...Have any of you ever had Avo Hummus? Its amazing!!!

Then there was some dangerous trampoline jumping....
Later we hit a Mexican restaurant where I opted for some corn tortillas with some guac.

Friday morning I hit up the gym and came home to a beautiful bright bowl of blueberry blended oatgurt (try saying that 3 times fast)...
A little while later we hit up the lake for some fun in the sun. My awesome cousins...
Hot sexy boat captain (not that captain, Liz, lol)....
It was pretty much packed out there...
After a full day of boating and drinking we headed home to shower and get ready for sushi at Virago's in down town Nashville (pretty much the best sushi ever). Here's just some of our spread. Seaweed salad...
Miso soup...
12 piece chefs selection sashimi...
One of the 4 rolls we ordered and shared between the 4 of us...
Yes, she is wearing a top.
Mmmm
So amazing!!! We then hit up a bar but didn't stay out to late because we had to be up at 5:30am to canoe the Buffalo River.

I took a water proof camera to the river with us and the pics are in the process of being developed. Here's some of the group of 10 before heading out...
The trip was exhausting. As seen here....
Apparently I passed out for 6 hours after returning.

The next day was pure recuperation and detoxification. Including oatgurt topped with Artisana Cocao Bliss...
and lots of salad including this amazing new find...
Whats that you ask?? Its what I would like to call "BEANUT BUTTER". It is one serving of black beans mixed and mashed with a heaping spoonful of creamy natural peanut butter. I served it over a bed of greens with lots of tomato. No dressing needed...
This stuff is seriously amazing. For all vegetarians and non out there, this is a perfect way to get in a complete protein meal. Plus its really yummy!!! Try it now!!! and then let me know how you like it.

I will now leave you with a pic of my 2 angels enjoying a 4th of July sparkler...

CONFESSION OF THE DAY: I had an awesome holiday weekend but I still feel like I need to practice more balance with my "fun". I rarely drink but when I do I think I might go a little overboard. Nothing wrong with a little partying but for me a think a little more balance couldn't hurt :).

HAHA - love the picture of you passed out on the couch! You and I have the same drinking woes. I swear I don't drink that much but when I do it's like 'go big or go home'!

  2. Wow lady that sounds like one crazy, busy, FUN weekend. I'd be passed out on the couch like that too (although I'm sure my husband would have posed some random item ON me to take the pic...brat).

  5. The Beanut Butter looks absolutely disgusting, but sounds absolutely yummy! I just got done with a huge salad with black beans in there (among the rest of crap found in my fridge) and now I wish I would have read this first!

Next time, I will try the combo...
