To Much To Handle

Hi Lovelies, How has your week been? Mines been good but I am excited for the weekend. I see the lake in my future :). Lets fast forward to yesterdays snack. I didn't have my usual oats for breakfast because instead I had my Raw Mango Bread and by snack time I was craving them bad! I also had my eye on some cherries the little one talked me into buying the other day at the store so naturally I mixed the two together....
Cherry oatgurt. Tasted great :).

I was ravenous at lunch so I had a big one. (that's what she sai....) I had a leftover Black Bean Turkey Burger on a romaine bun, a side salad with lots of hummus, and a side of sweet potato fries....
Afternoon snack was more Raw Mango Bread with a plethora of butter. I give you Cacoa Bliss, almond butter and I doubled up on the peanut butter...
I'm not saying I didn't go back for more ;)

The man had late appointments so the little one and I had dinner alone. She chose mac and I choose...
A nice Black Bean Turkey Burger topped monster of a salad. On top on the burger is the Raw Beanless Zucchini Hummus I made on Monday. Its a little salty but starting to grow on me.

Between all my meas I did some kitchen and much needed floor cleaning. Dark wood floors and pet hair are not a good combo. Around 9 O'clock I finally got the call from my bestie to come and take what I wanted from her fridge and pantry. She is leaving for Israel for 3 months :( and new Id be more than happy to take some food off her hands. I left with tons of fresh veggies, hummus and some High Fructose Corn Syrup filled stuff that I would never buy but my husband was thrilled to see.

I usually don't go to the gym on Wed. but I just felt like I needed it so I went for a light session this morning. When I got home I really wanted to make Katie's Brownie Batter Pancakes but I forgot I had a doctors appointment and was in a hurry. Instead I had oats in every ones favorite bowl.....
Yum, Yum, and more Yum!!!

Had an apple on the way home from the docs and now I am fixin to cook up some lunch :)

Now, don't everyone wet their pants with excitement over this post. I know it was entertaining and a lot to take in but please contain yourselves!!

CONFESSION OF THE DAY: I totally hold grudges. I am trying my darnedest to overcome it though!!

i am so proud of you justine, lol. you are just so healthy! i totally thought of you this morning-- i promised myself last night that i'd wake up at 5 to go run on the beach, and when i woke up i was soooo close to just hitting snooze and crawling back under the covers. but then i thought, NO, i am getting up and i'm going to get MOVING! you can do it in the mornings for your class, and you seem to have a way busier life than i do haha, so i can do it too!

  3. Hey girl!!!

I need to make more black bean turkey burgers stat!!! Your salads look amazing!

Bummer you didn't get to make the brownie batter pancakes :( I wanted to make them this weekend and then remembered I'm out of town. They'll have to wait!

As far as holding grudges... depends on who it is. Some people I can let things slide... then there are some that I just can't let it go!

  4. Oooh cherry oatgurt sounds like a new fabulous creation. I have the hardest time finding Artisana here--do you have a website/place you recommend?

Love all your confessions, Justine! I totally relate to all of them :)

  6. I'm in love with your raw bread! It looks fantastic!! I also really want your SP fries - I bought a SP but it's so humid that I can't justify turning on the oven for 40 minutes.

Woohoo for free food! Hope your bestie has an amazing time in Israel!

  7. your meals look so good. i was just looking for a good recie for black bean burgers. we must be on SAHM radar, lol.
p.s. i totally hold grudges too. i try to forgive and forget. i even pretend like i'm over it, but honestly i never let anything go. it's really not fair, because when i mess up i would hope people would forgive me and not judge me on my mistakes.

  9. I love your salads! Shocking about doctor's getting in the way of pancakes- don't they realise that pancakes are essential to health?!

Hope your husband enjoys the fructose syrup...sorry about your besti leaving :( will you get to visit Israel?

  10. I've never made your black bean turkey burgers, but they look great! I love the idea of combining an animal protein with a vegan one. At least it helps you CUT DOWN on your meat intake without giving it up entirely.

Clean Eating Mag is my ultimate resouce! I've been a fan of "Clean Eating" ever since I've read Tosca Reno's book, which is what got the whole shebang started.

I bad with grudges. I find it hard to forgive and hard to forget.
