Sushi & Sausage

Yesterday, after my "exciting" gym experience and lots of house cleaning it was time to get ready for my night out (double date) with the one....the only...Heathereatsalmondbutter!!!!! I was super excited to meet her hubby and try a new restaurant! When we arrived the beautiful couple were already seated....
We did lots of chatting right away and I think the waitress was getting a little p'eed off because she came and asked for our order like 3 times and I wasn't ready. Hehe. I was to busy chatting away :) Finally, I decided to tear myself away from conversation and make a decision. I ordered the salmon shasimi and a seaweed salad and then at Heathers request I added a side of sweet potato fries. YUM! Here's sweet smiling Heather while we wait for our food...
here's the loot starting with shasimi...
Sorry for the blur there was low light and honestly my camera looks cool but its not that great. Sweet potato fries and seaweed salad...
My honeys half eaten burger...
I had such a fun time and the time went by way to fast. I seriously could have stayed all night and talked to them. I had some group pics but in the best one CD (Heather's hubby) decided to play a little joke so I wont be posting that one. Hahaha. Heather, hes so funny!!! I cant wait till our next adventure. Shopping and more food. The perfect combo.
After dinner the man and I went to another bar to hang out and enjoy each others company. I had a great time and 3 glasses of Zinfandel. Drinking always makes me tempted to eat bad stuff but I was prepared and packed a Kashi Go Lean pumpkin pie bar and ate it on the ride home. Honey, If you are out there I had a great time and I love you!

This morning I woke up early and made a bowl of oats for brekkie and then another one for my morning snack along with a chocolate rice protein shake...
I have been trying to avoid eggs because I am trying to do an elimination diet cause of my tummy problems. I was going good all day but then I failed miserably at dinner..

I picked up these sausages earlier to replace the eggs for breakfast but I ended up eating them with eggs for dinner. Opps. They were really yummy thought. Close up...
Final product...
All in all a pretty good day. Got some work done outside, visited with family and did some relaxing.

CONFESSION OF THE DAY: I am terrified of all things bugs! I used to love picking up lady bugs, rollie pollies and stuff as kid but a bug pooped or something in my hand once and I have been scared ever since :(.

A few questions:
  1. When you count calories do you count your green fibrous veggies? (just curious cause I never do and I am starting to think I should cause I eat so much of them)
  2. Does anyone have any suggestions for a significant protein source for breakfast besides eggs and protein powder?

  1. Haha, i do not count my veggies either! I just thought about that today too actually...

For protein... I honestly just use a ton of nut butters and hemp protein powder. I would avoid soy as much as possible, for that I have actually just decided to add some organic eggs into my diet every once in awhile... and I was VEGAN! I would say try some TEMPEH which is soy, but FERMENTED, spirulina, E3 Live...tahini or other seeds... FLAX.. hemp seeds... any of this sounding good?

  4. Justine,
You are too sweet. Yes, Chris was kind enough to surprise me with a new screensaver. It's THE picture you so kindly did not post. Made me laugh so hard when I turned on the computer this morning! Had such a great time Sat. night. When are you coming to Nashville?

I'm off to email to you what I read about dairy. Even though you haven't been eating it, I thought you might find this interesting.

Glad you found some good chicken sausage...and then ate it with eggs. Totally something I would do. :)

Have a good night my friend, and please tell Justin "Hello"!
