Food Carnival

I don't really know why I didn't blog yesterday because I pretty much did nothing all day except lazy around and eat. I ate a lot actually and it was all a little strange. I don't know what it was but my cravings were just all around weird and random. I got up and had some oats, cottage cheese and bacon and then headed out to the gym. I was going to do this class called cardio/weights but when I arrived I asked one of the women what the class was like and she said it was step with weights. I opted out. I am not much of a "step" type girl. I am just not very coordinated. Another thing that I absolutely cant do is zumba. I know, I know everyone loves it but its just not for me. I came home good and sweaty and made a nice double chocolate chip banana shake...
I think it contained choc. rice protein, frozen banana, choc. almond milk, chocolate chips blended and choc. chips sinking on top.

That shake went right thru me so about an hour later I had lunch. I tried to steer clear from a salad (not that I was tired of them) because it just takes forever to calculate the cals for everything I like to put in them. I had an opened face waffle sandwich that contained the last of my green pea guac, chicken, and spinach and a side of steamed zucchini...
your probably thinking "what is weird about that?". Well one, I never eat waffles, let alone as a sandwich and two, did I mention they were blueberry waffles? Look closely and you can see a blueberry.
Only a few hours later I found myself hungry again. I decided since I was feeling so hungry I was going to up my cals a bit for the day. No prob. I made myself a bacon, mushroom, humbecue, flatout pizza.
Later I was in the mood to do some baking and there was a box of no pudge fudge brownie mix in the pantry. I knew I couldn't eat them because of the dairy but they smelled so good so I just licked the bowl...ok, ok and I had a small bite when I cut one for the little one. You think I would have learned my lesson by now! Sorry, tummy!
They were cappuccino flavored and I added in some toffee chunks.
For dinner I had some tilapia that needed to be used so I made some easy foil packets and cooked at 450 for about 15 min.
My plate...
Later on while watching Pirates Of The Caribbean I had a weird craving for a salad so I got up and made one...
It contained a lot of stuff that needed to be used up in the fridge and some BBQ sauce. After I started eating it I was wondering what I was thinking wanting that salad?? I ate about half and stuck it in the fridge.

This morning my crazy chocolate craving was still in full force so I made a bowl of triple chocolate peanut butter blended oats...
Choc. rice protein, dark choc. cocoa powder, oats, dark choc. stevia, choc. chips, peanut butter. (maybe it should be quadruple choc., peanut butter blended oats)

Well that's all my crazy eats for the day. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday and a spectacular Easter!!!

CURRENT OBSESSION: (besides chocolate)
CONFESSION OF THE DAY: My husband and I are on 2 different schedules when it comes to morning and night. I get up early and go to bed pretty early. He sleeps in and goes to bed much later than I do. I am starting to think that this is not a good thing. I feel like it takes away from our "alone time" which we are need of!!! Hmmm what to do???????

  1. mmmmm those oats at the end, omggggg. chocolate makes me so weak in the knees. it's amazing/pitiful.

i'm not married, but my parents are on totally different schedules too-- my dad is up at 4 am and in bed by 10, but my mom prefers to sleep in the morning and stay until 2am. they always, no matter how tired they are, stay up and spend time together after the kids go to bed, even if its just for an hour. theyve been married for a zillion years, so i guess it works!

  2. I agree with the above... mmm on the triple chocolate peanut butter blended oats. You are a woman after my heart - I love anything with chocolate in it.

I just bought some bananas today so will need to make your double chocolate chip banana shake.

  3. Your chocolate banana protein shake is making my mouth water! Mmm...

As far as "alone time" goes... I would say after the little one goes to bed... and you go to bed....the husband can "go to bed with you" and then he can stay up while you actually sleep.

Again, I am not married, this is my single advise. I am currently seeing two guys and it is about to drive me crazy. I can't handle the stress of it. I am waiting for one to out shine the other... or for both to crap out. But I am not having "alone time" with either... I am a lady =)

  5. Bobby and I have similarly bad schedules. I like to get up early and go to bed early, and he is known to stay up past 3am (quite often). What's been happening recently is I end up going to bed late to spend time with him but I absolutely HATE it because that's the time that I binge. So I don't really have good advice, but probably a compromise of some sort is the best option.

  7. I know the feeling of the awkward schedules. My boyfriend and I suffered that. I guess I just pressured him into waking up earlier. Haha. There was no way I was going to wake up later! I love your food marathon-ish post. Such a delight!
